I’ve actually taken a bag full of these homemade keto tortilla chips in my purse to the Mexican restaurant. Maybe a little weird, but what’s wrong with that?!
If you’ve been missing the crunchy, salty, snackable goodness of tortilla chips while cutting carbs, these low carb tortilla chips are such an easy way to get your fix.
We start with a package of low carb tortillas, cut them into triangles, toss in a bit of oil, and air fry.
They’re perfectly crisp, golden, and sized just right for snacking and dipping. And you should definitely be dipping with a recipe like our keto buffalo chicken dip!
♥ 3 Reasons You’ll Love This Recipe:
Fast & foolproof: Just three simple ingredients and a few minutes and you’re enjoying these chips.
Perfectly crispy: These start as soft tortillas from a bag but they get golden and crispy as they cook. They’ll crisp up even more as they cool.
Made for dipping: Our homemade keto salsa and keto queso are what we like to serve these keto tortilla chips with the most!
Ingredients, Swaps, & Tips:

- Tortillas. Any low carb tortilla brand should be okay to use for this. I like these, because they taste great and are widely available. We like the 6-inch tortillas because they cut up nicely into chip-sized triangles.
- No air fryer? No problem! These can be baked at 350°F for 7-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until browned in spots and crisp.
- Extra flavor. There’s no reason you can’t season the chips for extra flavor! Ranch seasoning, garlic salt, even chili powder or something spicy like cayenne pepper will be great.
- No burnt chips! Try to keep an eye on them toward the end as they crisp up fast and can go from perfect to burnt pretty quickly.
- Pizza cutter. A knife works just as well but a pizza cutter does the job quick, easy, and neat.

My Favorite Air Fryer
Our favorite air fryer is the Cosori 5.8qt Max XL.It’s a good, classic air fryer with a simple to use interface and over 10k positive ratings on Amazon. This is one popular air fryer, for good reason!
Step by Step:

Stack up a couple of low carb tortillas and use a knife or pizza cutter to cut into triangles.

Place the tortillas into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil and toss with salt. Make sure everything is nicely coated.

Arrange the tortillas in the air fryer. For maximum crispiness, get them in a single layer as much as possible.

Air fry until they have lightly golden spots throughout, around 5 minutes. Let the tortillas cool so they can crisp up even more.
Serving Suggestions:
These keto tortilla chips are endlessly snackable and will go well with just about everything but we especially enjoy it with our favorite low carb dips.
These also add some crunch to other Mexican-inspired recipes, like our eto taco salad or a keto burrito bowl!
Storage:
These low carb tortilla chips can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
The chips may lose a bit of crispiness which you can restore by tossing them back in the air fryer for a minute or two.

Keto Tortilla Chips
Ingredients
- 2 6-inch low carb tortillas
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 370 degrees.
- Cut the tortillas into 8 triangles each. Add to a mixing bowl.
- Drizzle the oil over the top and stir gently until all of the tortilla chips have been lightly tossed in the oil.
- Sprinkle the salt over the top and stir again to distribute the salt amongst the tortilla chips.
- Place the chips in the preheated air fryer basket. The more spread out and in a single layer they are, the better the results, but I’m not too terribly picky about it either.
- Air fry for 5 minutes, flipping the chips halfway through cooking and then rearranging into a single layer again, until the chips are as crisp and browned as you’d like, keeping in mind the chips will crisp a bit more as they cool and if they get too browned they’ll taste burnt.
- Sprinkle with additional salt, if desired.
- Cool before serving with your favorite dip.
