This keto honey mustard recipe is everything you love about a classic honey mustard dressing without the carbs! We’re skipping real honey and using a keto-friendly alternative that’s still got that sweet honey flavor.
(We use this honey alternative, made with monk fruit and allulose – both natural sweeteners.)
This is one of those recipes that I always have on hand in the fridge. Sugar free honey mustard is something that takes just two minutes to mix up, lasts all week, and makes every piece of grilled chicken or plate of zucchini fries way more exciting.

- Honey alternative: I use this specific brand and love it. I first gave it a try because it’s made by a fellow food blogger (love that!) and I was happy to find that it tastes a lot like real honey and is made with natural sweeteners. That said, any zero-carb honey substitute that looks, tastes, and measures like honey should work fine here.
- Sweetness level: Start with the 2 tablespoons and adjust up from there. Some honey alternatives are sweeter than others, so taste as you go.
- Fair warning for picky eaters: While this tastes great, there is a slight sweetener aftertaste that some sensitive palates might pick up on. My kids don’t seem to mind, but just wanted to mention it.
- Tangy twist: Want more bite? Add an extra splash of vinegar or try apple cider vinegar instead.

No freezer: Don’t recommend freezing this one – mayo-based sauces get weird when thawed.

Keto Honey Mustard
Ingredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey alternative see notes
- 1 tablespoon white distilled vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon cracked pepper
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a small bowl and stir well to combine.
- Taste and add more honey, if you prefer a sweeter dressing.
- Store in the fridge in a covered container for up to 1 week.
