Just a quick marinade can add big flavor to pork chops! This one is my go-to, partially because it's so simple to whip up and partially because it's just so good. For more of a teriyaki vibe, add extra honey alternative.
Add the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oil, vinegar, and honey alternative to a shallow dish or ziptop bag and whisk to combine. Toss in the smashed garlic cloves and stir a bit to make sure they’re coated in the liquid.
Add the pork chops to the marinade, turning to coat. Cover the dish or seal the bag, and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour or longer, depending on the thickness of your pork chops.
Remove the pork from the marinade and drain the excess liquid. Discard any leftover marinade. Pat dry the pork chops and sprinkle with the seasoning.
Grill the pork chops over medium-high heat until cooked through to an internal temperature of 145 degrees. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
This is more savory than sweet, but if you want more of a teriyaki vibe you can add up to ¼ cup of honey alternative.I use cheap white vinegar here, but apple cider vinegar will work just as well, if you prefer that.We often use thin cut pork chops and marinate for just an hour. If you’re using thicker cut pork chops, marinate for up to 8 hours.I always have a blend of garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika mixed up since those are the spices I use most. I do equal parts of each spice and just store it in a jar to grab and go. If you have a preferred mix (or something from a store that isn’t too salty), go ahead and use that here.
