Hot Ham & Cheese Chaffles

These savory waffles are filled with ham and swiss! The simple dip is made of mayo + dijon.

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup shredded swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped deli ham
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard

Instructions

  • Plug in your waffle iron to preheat.
  • Whisk the egg in a small bowl. Stir in the cheese, ham, and garlic salt to combine.
  • Spoon half of the mixture into the hot waffle iron, close, and cook for 3-4 minutes or until your waffle iron stops steaming and the waffle is cooked through.
  • Remove the waffle to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.
  • Stir together the mayo and mustard to use as a dip.
  • Slice the waffles in halves or quarters and serve with the dip.

Notes

You may use any cheese you prefer.
This recipe yields 2 waffles. I'd recommend eating 2 as an easy lunch or 1 as a snack. The nutrition information is based on 2 waffles.
