Ingredients

  • 8 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups chopped fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cracked pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Add the eggs to a mixing bowl along with the heavy cream and whisk well to combine.
  3. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 9-inch pie plate.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown around the edges and the center is fully set.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. 

Notes

Make sure to chop the broccoli into small pieces so that it cooks quickly in the oven. Large chunks of broccoli will not cook at the same rate as the eggs. For even more tender broccoli, steam for 5 minutes before adding to the egg mixture.
